Congress Goes Fly Fishing

Over 100 Washington lawmakers, including one particularly high-ranking administration official, took to the Potomac River April 30 to learn how management of American fisheries benefits the country's social and economic well-being. The American Fly Fishing Trade Association and the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation co-hosted the second annual Congressional Casting Call at Fletcher's Boat House alongside the 150-year-old C&O Canal in Virginia, just a few miles from Capitol Hill.

Stock Option Trading Guests received casting instruction and then spent a few hours on the river in wooden dories, each accompanied by a local guide. At last year's event, 12 members of the U.S. House and Senate attended, along with a large contingent of congressional staff, officials from the White House and several federal agencies.
