3DStockCharts Now Free

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 2004--3DStockCharts.com announced today that it now offers real-time, streaming, full-book stock market data for free on its website at www.3DStockCharts.com. The company integrates stock trading data from all of the major ECNs into a single integrated, real-time feed, showing all bids and asks for any given stock at any given moment in colorful 3-dimensional graphs. Previously, access to the full features of the site required a paid subscription.
The company's signature chart is a live, three-dimensional chart showing all bids and asks for a stock, with price and volume, updated every two seconds, showing changes over time. In essence, the entire activity in a stock -- before it trades -- can be viewed on a single screen. Stock traders use 3DStockCharts for gauging buy and sell pressure and momentum, watching the effect of minute-by-minute news on a stock, and (especially after-hours) taking advantage of arbitrage opportunities between ECNs. Longer-horizon investors use 3DStockCharts for timing their moves into and out of the market, squeezing the most profit out of each trade.

The data delivered by 3DStockCharts is unique, the company claims. While similar to NASDAQ Level 2 data, the 3DStockCharts data includes ALL orders, not just those of the market makers. "It is a much more complete picture of the buying and selling pressure on a stock," says William Urschel, CEO. "It is more complete data than most brokers have. And of course now it's free, which makes it even better." The site pays for itself through advertising revenues, Urschel said.

3DstockCharts began aggregating and broadcasting real-time, streaming data from the various electronic stock exchanges in 1999. It has over 30,000 registered users, who spend an average of 70 minutes on the site. The company also licenses data feeds and charts to other websites.
