'6 Mile Grove,' a band with Luther ties, releases fourth CD

Stock Option Trading 6 Mile Grove, a four member band of which three are Luther students or alumni, recently released its fourth CD, Friction. The band had a CD release party and concert in Marty's on Halloween, and its new CD is now on sale in the Luther Book Shop.

The Luther men's golf team opened the first half of their conference tournament this past weekend in Waterloo, IA. The Norse are tied for fourth place with Loras thanks to a two day total of 616. Central is in the lead and ahead of Luther by 31 strokes and they are followed by Wartburg and Coe. "The weekend was pretty disappointing, " said Scott Theriault ('03). In 2000, Judy released her first official CD, Curious Jude. The CD was well received as a look into her innermost thoughts and feelings. Many consider it her most emotional work to date. In 2003, she released the last thing on your mind. The CD was a marked departure from the folky and subdued nature of the first CD. Backed by a supporting band of guitarist Rob Ward, drummer Jonathan Ward, and bassist Justin Lee, the recordings were more electric and rocking than Curious.
